I’m sure you have all seen more and more boho showing up in your feed and that’s because bohemian style is having a huge moment right now. Of course boho has always been around, but right now, especially for the summer, everyone is adding more and more boho pieces to their wardrobe and fashion brands are adding more and more boho to their collections as well. I just added some Amazon pieces to my wardrobe to get in on this boho summer style trend. Here’s what I got:
#1 – Belt Buckle Fedora Hat in the color “camel”. Fedoras are hot, hot, hot right now! Scroll through your Instagram feed and I promise you will see at least three fedoras on there. I have worn mine a few times now and I have found that tilting the hat back and not having it touch my forehead at all is the cutest way to accomplish the boho fedora look. It’s also important to wear makeup when you try to rock a fedora, otherwise you just look like a little kid who stole her grandpa’s hat (or is that just how I look?!).
#2 – Bohemian Floral Print V-Neck Dress. I know that doesn’t sound summer boho but it’s just something about the relaxed fit of the dress combined with the small flower pattern that makes this dress scream boho! This dress just makes me want to go live on a sailboat and travel around the world and experience some different cultures.
#3 – Blue and White Striped Button Down Swing Midi Dress. I have been super into midi dresses lately! I think they look so classy and sophisticated like I just had lunch with a work colleague and now I’m on my way to Williams-Sonoma for some fancy plates. As if! And this bohemian pattern and buttons combined with the midi frame make this dress all the more exciting for me!
#4 – Navy Blue Button Down Ruffle Boho Dress. This one also has the relaxed fit with the tiny beige flower pattern, giving it a bohemian look. I’ve worn this one to work and it was perfect. The ruffle at the bottom made it long enough to be work-appropriate, but still fun enough to have style and look boho. I used to hardly ever wear navy, but after I wore a navy blue sequins cocktail dress to my company’s holiday party I have been buying and wearing more and more navy. The dark blue made me look super tan and skinny for some reason! *shrugs*
#5 – Black Boho Button Down Midi Dress. I thought this one would be great for work and for a casual brunch or lunch with friends or family. I need to get the top part altered a little because I’m very short with a short torso so it hangs a little too much on my chest. Even my medically-enhanced-ta-tas couldn’t fill out the top so I need to seek out professional help! But other than that, I love it, especially because it is a black boho dress!
#6 – Hair Scarves and headbands. I have been so obsessed with hair scarves and headbands lately. I just love how they can transform a boring, pool-hair top knot into a super cute and trendy up-do! I will either tie a hair scarf around the front of my head like a headband or I will tie it around the bun or ponytail. And of course, I just wear the headband like normal with my hair up or down.
#7 – Circular Straw Tote Bag. If you have been alive lately, you have seen these round straw handbags. Everyone and their moms have them. And that’s because they are super cute and perfect for the boho summer style trend. I love mine, I’ve been taking it to the pool with me, running errands, or just to hang out with friends/family so I don’t have to carry my huge work bag!
#8 – Small Circular Straw Shoulder Bag. This is like the mini, shoulder-bag version of the big round straw tote bag. I like this one for when I’m going out to eat or to a happy hour because it’s easier to carry through a restaurant than a large handbag.
#9 – Anklets. Since it is summer, that means more shorts, skirts, dresses, and anything else that will show off my legs. If I’m hanging out at the pool or floating the river or laying out at the beach, people are going to see my bare feet. So I’m style them up with some anklets that fit perfectly with the boho summer style trend. And they’re only $8!
#10 – Bohemian Statement Earrings. Of course I had to style up the boho look with some statement earrings. I got the turquoise earrings and these circular straw earrings also. I don’t know what it is about circular straw objects that just screams boho?!
I’m super excited about my recent haul of boho summer style trend clothes, handbags, hair accessories and jewelry. It makes me want to travel to Indonesia and take a picture with an elephant! Or go to that beach with all of the cute, wild pigs?! Bucket list items. And I’ll fit in perfectly with these summer boho clothes!
