Hi y’all! 4th of July is coming up quick so I wanted to share an easy 4th of July snack that your 4th of July crew will be sure to enjoy. I call them Pizza Rolls and they only have 3 ingredients and take 12 minutes to bake in the oven! I first learned about this recipe in college and when I could come home from a party, I would make these as my “drunk snack”. So, if a drunk college girl can easily make these, then just about anyone can, haha!

All you need are crescent rolls, pepperoni slices, and cheese sticks for the pizza rolls and I like to coat the tops of them with melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. How simple is that?!
Once you have the ingredients ready, preheat the oven to 375.

Open the can(s) of crescent rolls – the Pilsbury ones come in packs of 8 rolls, so I usually will get two or three depending on how many people are going to be at the party. Lay the crescent rolls out flat on a cutting board and separate them into their triangles (you can put flour on the bottom if they are sticky). And press them with your fingers to flatten them.

Cut each cheese stick in half and set aside. You will need one cheese stick for every two pizza rolls. So if you are making 16 rolls, you will need 8 cheese sticks, then cut them in half to make 16 cheese pieces.

Start by putting 4 to 5 pepperoni slices at the top part on each crescent triangle. I usually put 3 at the top and then 2 right below to fill that top part of the triangle. Continue this for every crescent triangle.

Next, lay one of the cheese pieces on top of the pepperonis. Do this for every crescent triangle.
Next, starting at the pepperoni and cheese end, roll the dough up and over the pepperoni and cheese and continue rolling until it looks like a normal crescent roll. You can tuck the ends of the rolls into the other dough to close up the ends so the cheese won’t melt out!

Cover a baking sheet with foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Lay each pizza roll onto the baking sheet, evenly spaced so they don’t morph into one giant pizza roll.

Now take 2-3 tablespoons of butter and place into a microwave-safe bowl or cup. Microwave in increments of 10 seconds until the butter is melted. Sprinkle garlic powder and Italian Seasoning into the melted butter. Brush the tops of each pizza roll with the garlicy butter mix.

Place the pizza rolls into the oven and bake for 12 minutes or until the tops are a light golden color.
Once they are done baking, place them onto a fun party tray surrounding a bowl of pizza sauce or marinara sauce for dipping and serve!

This is usually my party go-to snack because it’s easy to make and everyone loves pizza, am I right?! So this would be a perfect, easy 4th of July snack that everyone will love, especially the kiddos! We’re going to my family’s ranch where there will be a big group of us out there drinking all day so these will be perfect to grab and snack on to absorb some alcohol. And even the really picky eaters will enjoy it because it’s just a homemade pizza roll!
