Happy Thursday my friends! I’m rounding up my favorite spring outfits today to spark joy in this otherwise mundane circumstance. I think everything is going to start opening up again soon, so let’s put our best spring outfits forward when we’re released from captivity, shall we?!
I’m just being dramatic.
TBH, spring is my least favorite season… I personally don’t think I look good in floral sprints. It’s just not my personality and something about my dark hair and skintone (and that I’m only 5 feet tall?) makes me feel like a little girl playing dress up in my mom’s clothes. BUT I’ve been able to find some really great floral prints that make me feel like a spring goddess instead of Catherine Heigel in 27 Dresses.

For the comfy, casual, but still trendy spring outfits, I like to wear biker shorts and an oversized t-shirt or a cropped t-shirt, or if it’s chillier I like to wear boyfriend/mom jeans and a cropped sweatshirt. The casual tie-dye t-shirt dress is always a good option as well.

My favorite spring outfits for date night are ripped jeans and an off-the-shoulder top. If it’s warm enough, a lacy off-the-shoulder top and strappy heels are my fav. Or if it’s chilly outside or you’re going somewhere with blasting A/C then a sweater pulled down off of one shoulder and closed-toe heels or booties is my go-to look.

For birthday parties, brunch with girlfriends, dinner with family, nephew’s sporting events, or just the “come over and let’s sit on the back porch and drink beer” events I like to keep it cute but still casual. I love these floral wrap dresses from Amazon with the Tory Burch Miller sandals and a hat for any of the above occasions. They’re floral dresses so they look like you put in a lot of effort to get dressed to see your family/friends, but they’re such a comfortable fabric they’re still casual.

These other two floral dresses, red and blue, also have the comfy-cute combo. I wear these to work on the super nice, warm spring days (before we were in isolation and still going to the office). I wear them with mules or nice sandals.

Another one of my favorite spring outfits is the chambray dress with brown sandals and a hat. It can be dressed up or dressed down depending on jewelry and shoes.

And of course, you can’t forget the classic cut off jean shorts, white tank, and a colorful kimono. Paired with sandals for a more casual look or with espadrilles for more dressed up!
Enjoy Spring whether you’re inside or outside! And don’t forget to wear your favorite spring outfits while you can before it gets too hot!
