Hello, beauties! As I’m sure you’ve seen, it is the annual Sephora Spring Sale event right now for all Beauty Insiders – ending Monday the 6th – and you get 10% off with discount code “HEYINSIDER”. In order to use this discount code, you have to sign up to be a Beauty Indsider, which just means that you sign up with an email address, create a password, and start earning reward points for every dollar you spend at Sephora. Not too bad, right?!
I am definitely taking advantage of this Sephora Spring Sale event and the 10% off code because I have been wanting to try out some new products and really update my makeup arsenal and routine. Therefore, I wanted to share with you all exactly what I bought using the discount code. I’ll also share another post in a few weeks or so reviewing all of the products!
Here’s what I bought from the Sephora Spring Sale event:
#1 Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in the shade “Chocolate” – I have been using the ABH Brow Wiz religiously for about six years now, so this is not a new product for me. However, this is my first time trying the shade “chocolate”. I usually use the shade “dark brown” (formerly brunette). But since Summer is coming up, I wanted to try the lighter shade!
#2 Dr. Brandt Needles No More 3-D LIP PLUMPFIX – This one is a new product for me. I’m going to add this to my daily skincare routine. I’ve always wanted lip injections but I’m always either too broke or too afraid to actually get them, haha! So I’m going to try out this product to hopefully get a little lip plumping action without all the commitment first.
#3 Fenty Beauty Match Stix Matte Skinstick in shade “Mocha” to use as a cream contour – I absolutely love using cream contours. I actually prefer cream contouring over powder. I just think it looks more natural and less “makeupy”. I used to use a cream contouring stick from NARS but they discontinued it so hopefully this Fenty one will be a good alternative!
#4 Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder – I have always wanted to add setting powder to my makeup routine but just never had the money for something so seemingly extraneous. But after some careful observation of my makeup and YouTube makeup tutorials, I figured it’s not so extraneous after all and that I should give it a try. So I am! I’m not sure exactly how to use it yet, but I just need to do some trial and error!
#5 Tarte Color Splash Lipstick Rainforest of the Sea Collection in shade “Beach Babe” – This is my first Tarte lipstick but I love all of Tarte’s other products so this shouldn’t be any different right? And this shade of “Beach Babe” is a nude color that is supposed to be a perfect dupe for MAC’s Honeylove nude lip color. So I’m excited to try out this nude lip color for work on the daily!
#6 Tarte Fake Awake Eyeliner – Apparently this eyeliner makes your eyes look bigger and makes you look more awake. Which will be perfect for me to wear to work so that I won’t look as tired as I usually feel, haha! Every tutorial I’ve seen featuring this eyeliner, they always use it on the bottom water line only. So I’m excited to see how it goes.
#7 Tarte H2O Lip Gloss Rainforest of the Sea Collection in shade “Sandy Toes” – I am super super excited about this lip gloss! I’ve been watching this YouTuber, Kelly Track, and in all of the makeup tutorials I’ve watched of hers, she has always worn this Tarte lip gloss in Sandy Toes over all of her lipsticks and it is so dang pretty. It’s a nude gloss with a shimmery gold finish. So excited!
I also got a crap ton of freebies and samples with my Insider reward points! I got sample sizes of the Sunday Riley A+ High-Dose Retinoid Serum, the Obagi Kinetin+Rejuvenating Serum, the Biossance Squalane+Peptide Eye Gel, the Biossance Squalane+Vitamin C Rose Oil, and the Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color in shade “Tea Rose”. I’m super excited to try all of those out, especially the retinoid and rejuvenating serums and the peptide eye gel!! I’ll let y’all know if I will be adding any of the samples to my makeup arsenal full-time!
Stay tuned for what I thought about all the products I bought/got for free! Have y’all tried any of the products above yet?! If so, what did you think?!
