I went to Port Aransas with my boyfriend and his family over the weekend. I don’t think I’ve ever been to the beach in mid-April before, so it was definitely a first for me! We were planning on making food at the house for every meal and going to the beach during the day so I was just packing for the beach and for hanging out at the house with everyone. So here’s what I packed for our beach trip to Port Aransas!
1. Swimsuits. I only brought two swimsuits since it was just a weekend trip. I brought my yellow swimsuit and my black swimsuit.
2. Cover ups. My swimsuit cover up go-to is always high-waisted jean shorts and a kimono. The high waisted jean shorts cover up the lower belly area and the open kimono shows off the swimsuit top and the cleavage area, making an effortless beach babe look!
3. Lounge clothes. Since it was mid-April it was pretty chilly in the evenings and early mornings so I packed some cute joggers, leggings, and sweatshirt crop tops to be warm but still look cute and beachy!
4. Beach dresses. I wore cute, beachy tie dye dresses for dinner each night. One is a maxi dress and the other is a t-shirt dress. I felt very traveling beach gypsy in the dresses and they were perfect for running around on the beach barefoot!
I also packed my book, Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter. My beach towel, espadrilles, my Tory Burch Miller flip flops, and my Cachos for crab hunting. Everything else was the basic underwear, contact solution, pajamas, hair brush, etc. I was very badly sunburned, even with spf 50 on!! So hopefully that was my first sunburn of the season and I’ll just be tan from now on!
