Back to school clothes shopping doesn’t just have to be for the kiddos. This time of year signifies so many different things: the end of summer, beginning of fall, weather change, holidays only a few months away, school meetings, school events, back to work for teachers, etc. And I think women and young adults deserve a back to school clothes shopping spree also, but like, for adults you know?
If you’re graduating college and starting out in the real-life working world, you’ll have to trade in your XL sorority t-shirts and denim cutoffs for nice, business casual tops and dress pants. Or if you’ve already been involved in the working world for quite some time now, you might just want to update your work wardrobe with some fresh new pieces. H&M
Their sizes can be kind of wonky sometimes, but H&M is always my go-to for affordable work clothes. I always try to order one or two sizes up and they usually work out perfectly! I also buy a lot of pieces in bulk from H&M like solid t-shirts, v-necks, or tanks and I’ll order them in every color because they are such a good staple! Shein (pronounced she-in)
This online store is very underrated, in my opinion. I have ordered a lot of great clothes from Shein and they are always ridiculously affordable! You can get an entirely new wardrobe without breaking $200. And they have a great selection of work attire as well! I know, Forever 21 is probably the last place you would think to look for work clothes… But trust me, they have a pretty good selection! My advice is to shop for your new back to school work clothes online and not in the store. The store always reminds me of what my suitcase looks like on my last day of vacation when everything is crumpled up and scattered around everywhere. So if you look online it is a lot more organized and you can filter down to exactly what you are looking for to make it a lot easier! Here are my top picks:

Amazon also has a great selection of affordable back to school clothes, not just for kids going to school but also for adults going to work or just looking to upgrade their professional wardrobe.
